The Municipal Museum of Olhão – Compromisso Marítimo Building is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a street exhibition entitled 20 Anos de Museu, on display at Largo da Restauração.
The exhibition is made up of several panels depicting the Museum's anniversary and the course of this cultural equipment from Olhano over the last two decades.
The Municipal Museum is located in the old building of the Compromisso Marítimo de Olhão, which began to be built about 250 years ago, with the purpose of protecting all seafarers and fishermen, of whatever sort, quality and condition that is the same as in all art. of navigation as of fishing': a fundamental structure in the proper functioning of society at the time.
The exhibition, open air in front of the Museum, also celebrates the International Day of Monuments and Sites, which this year is dedicated to the theme “Complex pasts, diverse futures”.
