Algarve director and producer André Badalo is producing three short fiction films and a feature-length documentary in Azerbaijan, through Original Features.
The films, anti-war manifestos, «are written and made by the director ee portray the killing of Khojaly».
“According to the NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW), on February 26, 1992 the Armenian armed forces and the 366th CIS of the Russian regiment killed between 200 and 1000 Azerbaijani civilians, including 108 women and 83 children. It was the biggest massacre of the entire Nagorno Karabaj conflict», states the producer.
This is not the first collaboration between André Badalo and Nadir Machanov, who have already worked together on the feature film "Baku, I Love You", where the Portuguese director worked with Asia Argento, Alessandro Bertolucci and Eysan Özhim.
In addition to this project, André Badalo is preparing a series for RTP and finishing the edition of two new projects: “Mulher Não tem Quero”, starring Dalila Carmo and Maria João Luís and “Geração Y” starring Victoria Guerra.
