The municipalities of Alcoutim (Algarve) and Aljustrel, Almodôvar, Castro Verde, Ferreira do Alentejo, Santiago do Cacém and Ourique (Alentejo) came together for the Intermunicipal Physical Activity Week that will last from 1st to 5th March.
This initiative consists of a weekly online program, with daily classes that take place at three different times: between 10:00 and 10:30, 18:30 and 19:00 and 19:30 and 20:00.
"The goal is to bring physical activity to people's homes in times of Covid-19 and confinement and, at the same time, contribute to the adoption of healthier lifestyle habits and the importance of physical exercise for health" , explain those responsible for the initiative.
“This is also a public service, provided by several city councils, which aim to reach the maximum number of people of various age groups, involving families, in a moment of sharing and also helping to break the isolation”, they add.
