The webinar “À Descoberta de Balsa” will take place on the 27th and 28th of January, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, covering aspects related to the methodology, challenges and results of the archaeological investigations carried out and in progress on this ancient Roman city.
Participating in this initiative are researchers Cristina Teté Garcia (Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve), Celso Candeias (Municipality of Tavira), Miguel Ramos (University of Algarve), Maria João Valente (University of Algarve), Luís Filipe Oliveira (University of Algarve) and also the researcher responsible for the “Balsa” project: João Pedro Bernardes (University of Algarve).
The webinar will take place at Zoom, being aimed at the general public. Participation is free, but subject to mandatory registration. After receiving the registrations, each interested party will receive, the day before the webinar, the link to access the sessions.
The project “Balsa – in search of the Algarve's Origins” (www.balsa.cvtavira.pt) is co-financed by the operational program of CRESCalgarve 2020 and coordinated by the University of Algarve, having as partners the Centro Ciência Viva de Tavira, the Municipality of Tavira and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
