Farense lost 2-0 to Tondela, in the trip they made this Saturday, the 30th, to Beira Interior, to play in a match of the 16th round of the I Liga.

The Algarvians did enough to get, at least, the draw, but failed to score. The second of the Beirões came already in discounts, at a time when Farense was trying everything for everything to tie.

Playing at home, Tondela showed, from the beginning, an offensive tendency, but it was Farense who shot more, in the first half of the game.

Still, and despite some good notes from the team Faro, the null persisted until the break.

Tondela's goal had to come in the first moments of the second half.

At 46 minutes, João Pedro, assisted by Jhon Murillo, beat Defendi and opened the count.

From then on, Tondela managed the short advantage, with Farense not showing many arguments to change their luck, despite the growing bet of coach Sérgio Vieira on forward players.

Even so, the fruits of these options by Farense's coach eventually emerged and, at 83, only a miraculous cut by Enzo Martinez prevented the Algarve from reaching a draw.

Farense failed, but Tondela didn't and sealed the final result in the 93rd minute, through Rafael Barbosa.

With this result, Farense remains in 17th position, the penultimate place in the table, below the waterline, and risks ending round 16 in the last position, if Boavista wins in Portimão.
