The Chamber of Faro has open applications, until February 26, to support cultural, youth, social, sports and animal-related associations in the municipality.
Within the scope of support for cultural associations, applications are open for the following measures: support for regular activities, the modernization and improvement of facilities and the leasing of facilities and support for modernization and associational autonomy.
«Outside of the open candidacies in the face of the regulation of support to associations in the county, there is support for the implementation of cultural projects, as it appears that the measure of support for regular activity has responded to a set of initiatives that the associations organize throughout the year», says the Chamber of Faro.
In the context of support for sports associations, applications are open to support regular activity, modernization and administrative autonomy, merit ratings, modernization, operation and improvement of facilities, lease of facilities, provision of facilities and good management practices of sports entities.
Also without open applications is support for the organization of sporting events, as it appears that, due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, a large part of the sporting events that allow compliance with this measure will not be held.
With the opening of these applications, the Municipality of Faro says that “it continues its work with a view to improving the living conditions of the populations, namely through support for the action developed by the associative movement, which is currently struggling with great difficulties due to the impossibility of carrying out part of the activities that guarantee its financial sustainability due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic”.
In their respective areas, all non-profit associations that meet the conditions provided for in article 3 of the Regulation for Supporting Associations of the Municipality of Faro. Applications must be instructed in their own forms (also available, such as the regulation, here) and accompanied by the required documents, depending on the measures you intend to benefit from.
Applications for support to associations in other areas will open at an opportune date.
