Amigos de Lagos exhibit works inspired by confinement at the Municipal Market

Exhibition can be seen «every day and anytime»

The “2nd Living Room of the Friends of Lagos”, an exhibition of works inspired by Covid-19 and the period of confinement experienced by the Lacobrigense community, is on display at the Santo Amaro Municipal Market.

The exhibition, carried out with the support of the City Council of Lagos and the Parish Council of São Gonçalo, can be “visited every day and at any time, as all works are visible from the interior and exterior of the Santo Amaro Market Building », according to the Amigos de Lagos group.

The public can count on «more than two dozen poems and illustrations, whose presentation was initially planned for the Group's headquarters, but which, to guarantee better conditions for visitors, came to occupy a space intended to become a meeting point and cultural dissemination ».

Works by Abel Tomé, Cristiano Cerol, Cristina Collier, Domingos Pestana, Fernando Ildefonso, Gonçalo Cabral, Irene Serrão, João Bago d'Uva, João Murty, José Alberto Baptista, José Francisco Rodrigues, José Francisco Rosa, José Manuel Rosado Palroz are on display , Leonardo Varela dos Santos, Maria de Fátima Santos, Maria Luísa Novais, Pedro Magalhães, Pedro Palma Moreira and Vieira Calado.

"In this period of limitations and hope, this is also an opportunity to extend to that part of the city the daily walk that the Group of Friends of Lagos recommends as a goal to be fulfilled in 2021", concluded the promoters of the exhibition.
