“We have about 40 nurses in the NHS and they are the ones who are primarily going to vaccinate. Obviously, if reinforcement is needed, these means will be strengthened”, António Lacerda Sales told journalists, at the end of two visits to two health units, in Matosinhos, Porto.

On whether the health centers may have to extend the opening hours, the government official said that "it is possible", but noted that this is within the functional scope of local health units and executive directors of groups of health centers.
