This Tuesday, 21 December, the Algarve Football Association (AF Algarve) delivered around 174 kilos of non-perishable food to the Algarve's Food Bank Against Hunger (BA Algarve), to help those in need, the fruit of
fundraising campaign carried out recently.
The collection gave «following a social responsibility policy that aims to make AF Algarve increasingly solidary and inclusive».
«We thank Banco Alimentar for the trust and support of all those who, in a selfless way, made possible this contribution that makes us proud and that motivates us for future initiatives», says Carlos Figueira, Director of AF Algarve, with the Department of Social Responsibility .
For Nuno Alves, president of BA Algarve, «solidarity is part of a sense of belonging that we must never lose. Feeling that, in need, the community is there and can help is very important for everyone. It gives us security and fills our hearts».
The Algarve Football Association thanks the entire community that contributed to the cause, including sports agents and partners, as well as Rádio Fóia, for their partnership in publicizing the initiative.
