The Aljezur Long-Term and Maintenance Unit will have another five beds, «contributing, in this way, to expanding the care capacity of the National Network of Continuous Integrated Care in the Algarve». 

The Regional Health Administration of the Algarve, the District Center of Faro of Social Security and the managing entity of the Integrated Continued Care Unit of Aljezur, Casa da Criança do Rogil, signed, this Monday, 16 November, a contract for this expansion.

With this reinforcement, the Algarve "currently has a total of 532 inpatient beds for integrated continuous care, 74 beds for convalescence, 142 beds for medium-term inpatients and rehabilitation and 316 beds for long-term and maintenance stays", he says. the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve.

Moreover, «Algarve is one of the regions of the country where occupancy rates in inpatient units are among the highest, ranging from 93% for medium duration and rehabilitation, 94% for convalescence and 97% for long term and maintenance» .
