Rui Ribeiro is the Algarve representative of João Ferreira's candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic, announced this Monday, 16 November, the campaign of the communist MEP.
Rui Ribeiro is 41 years old, married and lives in Faro. He has a degree from the University of Algarve and is a Tourism Manager for a company operating in the region.
He is a member of the Board of the Regional Organization of the Algarve of PCP and of the Municipal Committee of Faro of the PCP. He was a candidate for the CDU in the last elections for the European Parliament and is elected at the Assembly of the Union of Parishes Sé/São Pedro in the municipality of Faro.
With the announcement of the regional representative, João Ferreira's candidacy says that “his work of contact with the workers and populations of the Algarve begins a new phase, making known the objectives and proposals of this candidacy for the region and the country”.
«Over the next few weeks and until the elections are held, in compliance with health safety standards, there will be several public tribunes, debates, rallies, public sessions and other actions to clarify the population, with the participation of Rui Ribeiro and the set of council representatives that will soon be announced», he adds.
