The project “Água na Boca”, by the Algarve Maria Lopes, is one of the finalists for the “New Talent” award, which aims to reward a young emerging talent. Voting ends this Monday, November 30th.
This project aims to develop old techniques, such as the crochet, to make clothes, like bikinis, or accessories: earrings, for example.
“Água na Boca” followed a trip through South America, after which Maria Lopes, born in Faro, learned crochet and decided to make the first pieces that can be seen here
The winner of this award – there are 9 more nominees – will earn €10 to be able to develop his project.
This contest, which will distinguish a young person under the age of 27, is promoted by NiT, in partnership with TVI and Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisbon.
