Docapesca will invest 178 thousand euros in the installation of a photovoltaic plant and in the rehabilitation of salt water tanks at the Rio Arade fishing port, located between Portimão and Ferragudo, in the municipality of Lagoa.
The company has already launched public tenders for both projects.
The photovoltaic power plant, which transforms solar energy into electricity, «aimed at improving the port's energy efficiency and it is a production unit for self-consumption of energy». This contest has a base price of 146.500 euros.
The tender for the contract for the rehabilitation of the salt water tanks, which involves «the anti-corrosion treatment of the exposed reinforcement, the repair of the cracked concrete and the waterproofing of the tanks», has a base price of 31.120 euros.
