Black Friday returns to Portimão from today, November 23rd, until next Saturday, the 28th, offering everyone the opportunity to shop at more advantageous conditions, with discounts of up to 50% at participating stores, duly identified by the initiative's poster. . “In a time of pandemic, the initiative gains greater relevance for local commerce”, stresses the Portimão Chamber.

Merchants in Portimão are once again adopting this North American tradition, offering countless purchase suggestions at lower costs, from clothing, shoes and accessories, to handicrafts and regional products.

The Câmara de Portimão stresses that «the traditional Christmas lights will already be working on the days of Black Friday, providing a more colorful and festive environment».

The objective of this Anglo-Saxon commercial concept, created nearly a century ago and disseminated throughout the world, is to create new business opportunities for the local economy as the Christmas season approaches, promoting proximity trade at a time when there are various due constraints. to the current pandemic situation.

Black Friday is organized by the Portimão Association of Commerce and Services, with the support of the Portimão City Council and the Portimão Parish Council.
