Majority (85%) in favor of mandatory use of mask in the street

Older citizens agree the most

Law that requires you to wear a mask in the street came into force this Wednesday and provides for fines between 100 and 500 euros. The older the Portuguese, the greater the support for the measure, reveals an Aximage survey for JN and TSF.

The vast majority of Portuguese people are in line with the Parliament's decision: 85% agree in some way with the mandatory use of a mask on public roads, and 60% “completely agree”, in particular older citizens (73% of those who 65 years of age or older express unconditional support).
