Family is left homeless after the collapse of a vacant house in Silves

A woman, «about 30 years old, was injured without seriousness, but was transferred to the Hospital of Portimão»

Four people were left homeless this Tuesday, 20 October, after the partial collapse of a vacant house that reached their home, on Gregório Mascarenhas Neto street, in Silves.

Ao Sul Informação, José Gonçalves, second commander of Firefighters in Silves, said that the occurrence "happened in the late afternoon of yesterday, due to heavy rain and wind, related to the Bárbara depression."

"The projections, due to the fall of the vacant house, reached another dwelling", he explained.

A woman, «about 30 years old, was injured without seriousness, but was transferred to the Hospital de Portimão», revealed the second commander of the Fire Department of Silves.

This family, of four people, had to be "relocated to relatives", he concluded. A car, parked outside the house, was also hit.
