Spanish and Portuguese businesswomen from the Euroregion (Andalusia, Algarve and Alentejo) will meet on the 21st and 22nd of October, in Seville, at the first forum INTREPID plus.

This initiative, organized by Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo, with the support of the INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) program, it aims to allow the exchange of ideas, the creation of synergies and learning between female entrepreneurs in the Euroregion.

The program includes spaces for networking, sales experiences, Marketplace, Mindfulness and other activities.

Highlight for the intervention of Angela Lin, responsible for business development at Tmall Global of the Alibaba group, for Spain and Portugal. In order to guarantee the sanitary safety of the event, participation is in person and online.

The I INTREPIDA plus forum is just one of the activities programmed by Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo for October, a month with a calendar full of proposals that show, on the one hand, the multiple affinities and links between Portugal and Spain and, on the other, the enormous potential of women entrepreneurs in both territories.

Indeed, until this forum is held, the Três Culturas Foundation has a full agenda of INTREPIDA meetings, such as the Portuguese film cycle that opens on 6 October with the screening of The Portuguese, film directed by Rita Azevedo in 2018. During the Tuesdays of October, you can enjoy a selection of short and feature films, Free Land e Checkers.

Portuguese music can be heard through the voice of Irma (8th of October), actress and singer born in Lisbon and considered an emerging figure in the Portuguese music scene, while literature will feature Dulce Maria Cardoso, defined as “the most important writer of her generation” (Jornal Público), which will present its most ambitious work on the 28th, normal life (Ink from China, 2018).

In addition, on the 15th, the exhibition will open feel the earth, curated by Cristina Ataíde and with works by Portuguese artist Graça Pereira Coutinho, which brings together different forms of expression such as painting, sculpture, photography and installations. Both will meet a small group of people for a very personal guided tour.

This intense program offers two more meetings, the first one on October 14, just one day before the International Rural Women's Day, an event that will be celebrated with a workshop on wool dyeing in San Nicolás del Puerto, in the northern mountains of Seville, by Estela Ribeiro and her artisanal weaving company, Mother Sheep.

Finally, an original encounter that allows us to approach a world unknown to many people: observation of the universe. This unique opportunity is offered by Planetário Albireo, run from Granada by Malena Sánchez, a businesswoman whose vocation for scientific dissemination led her to launch this entrepreneurial initiative a decade ago. This meeting also has the Astromares Association, as an example of active citizenship participation.

The activities of the new European project, INTREPIDA plus (Internationalization of Women Entrepreneurs from Spain and Portugal for Integration, Development and Alliances – Second phase) started on the 3rd of June.

It is an initiative led by Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, an institution that has European funding from the INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) program and which is the continuation and improvement of the INTREPIDA project, which is still in force.

A Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation is the main beneficiary of the INTREPIDA plus project, together with the following partners from Spain and Portugal: Diputación de Huelva, Mancomunidad Desarrollo Condado de Huelva, Entrepreneurs Nucleus of Portalegre Region (NERPOR), Entrepreneurial Nucleus of Évora Region (NERE) and Municipality of Faro.
