The Algarve Music Series returns this month, with two concerts, on the 15th and 16th of October, at Club Farense and Teatro Lethes.
Despite the «different circumstances», this chamber music festival, organized by cellist Isabel Vaz and pianist Vasco Dantas, with the support of the Chamber of Faro, maintains “the same joy and enthusiasm”.
After masterclass ArtAllurement, which took place from the 3rd and 5th of October, the concerts arrive. The show on October 15th will be at 21:30 pm at Club Farense and will feature the world premiere of Trio Allurement, composed by soprano Bárbara Barradas, mezzo-soprano Cátia Moreso and pianist Vasco Dantas.
Duets, opera arias and songs by composers such as Mendelssohn, Elgar, Wagner, Verdi and Offenbach will be performed. Tickets cost 8 euros and, for Club Farense members, 5 euros. Reservations can be made by calling 289 824 219 or [email protected].
On October 16, at 21 pm, at Teatro Lethes, there will be a concert with Portuguese accordionist João Barradas. The artist will present works by Keith Jarrett, Bach and Scarlatti.
