Alcoutim receives workshop on imaginative uses of sugarcane in architecture and construction

Cooperative from Barcelona, ​​author of incredible projects, comes to Alcoutim to provide training

Um workshop to explore the uses of sugarcane in architecture and construction, with members of the Catalan cooperative Voltes, specialized in Bioconstruction and Rehabilitation, will take place in Alcoutim, from 7th to 13th November.

The workshop is part of the Magallanes_ICC project, which provides training for participants in the use of sustainable construction materials and techniques. It is aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to work sugarcane and turn it into a professional resource.

The Transmission of Master Knowledge – Apprentices | Workshop in Cane is promoted by QRER Cooperative that streamlines the QRIAR – Creative Incubator of the Algarve, within the scope of the Magallanes_ICC project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), of the Interrreg VA España – Portugal (POCTEP) 2014 – 2020 program.

This project is also supported by the Municipalities of Loulé and Alcoutim, the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim and the Cândido Guerreiro de Alte Professional School.
