All data collected by Sul Informação are on the interactive map

The total number of people recovered from Covid-19 in the Algarve already amounts to 940, found the Sul Informação. That is, despite the slight increase in cases throughout this week, the rate of recoveries remains at 76,1% of the total infected.

At the moment, according to official data available to our newspaper, there are a total of 274 active cases of infections by the new coronavirus in the region. Only the municipality of Monchique, where all 15 patients have recovered, is this Sunday without active cases.

There are now 5 inpatients at the Hospital de Faro, two of them in Intensive Care, one being ventilated. The data also indicate that 600 people are under active surveillance.

In terms of the age groups most affected so far by Covid-19, almost 60% of the Algarve's cases are in the age groups between 20 and 49 years, being, therefore, relatively young people.
