The 4th edition of "365Algarve" runs until November this year

A photography exhibition, the Barlavento Performing Arts, the Forgotten Food Festival and a special show by “Lavrar o Mar”. The 365Algarve «does not fade with the end of the bathing season» and will liven up the region throughout October.

On the 1st, the Resgate/Procura photography exhibition, part of the 6th edition of the Encontros do DeVIR festival, opens.

«This large-format photography exhibition, presented in the foyer of the Teatro Municipal de Faro, is a complement and is another way to present the project developed and presented on the spot on the island of Culatra, which combines heritage (material/intangible) and world-renowned research, carried out by teams of researchers from the University of Algarve who are working on urgent issues relating to the safeguarding of this island», says 365Algarve.

Until October 4th there is still a lot to see at Ventania | Barlavento Performing Arts Festival.

On the 2nd, at 20 pm, there will be a Music & Food Experience session between the Museum of Portimão Auditorium and the FAINA restaurant.

On the same day, in Lagos, there is a new presentation of the O2 Oxigen performance that brings together the languages ​​of physical theater and animated forms.

On the 3rd, in Portimão, KALE — Companhia de Dança — presents its new creation “Terras”. And on the same day, but in Lagoa, the public will be able to watch the contemporary circus show “Atempo”.

Finally, on the 4th of October, in Lagos, a cross between installation, public art and performance with Water, a creation by André Braga and Cláudia Figueiredo, from the Circolando company.

The cultural program “Lavrar o Mar” takes the music of the Amrat Hussain Brothers Trio to Aljezur. On Saturday, October 3rd, there will be a presentation dedicated to children, where stories of this secular family will be sung, played and told. These three brothers received the music from their elders and, this time, they are the ones passing on the mystical melodies and warm rhythms of the tablas to the younger ones.

On Sunday, the 4th, the three brothers from Jaipur, Rajasthan, invite the public to discover classical music and Sufi, from northern India. Amrat Hussain, Teepu Khan and Sanjav Khan form a rare ensemble, whose musical heritage, now seven generations old, was bequeathed to them by their father and grandfathers, a prestigious family of gypsy Indian musicians. Their complicity on stage offers a vibrant, fluid, very virtuous, elegant and subtle musical language.

On October 17, in the village of Querença, in Loulé, between 10 am and 30 pm, the Forgotten Food Festival proposes a guided gastronomic tour followed by a traditional meal and diverse entertainment (music / word / story).

This festival, which has worked so hard on memories, wants to leave a last memory for its participants and presents a meal that represents the territories and food heritage of those who live there. Three different menus, each dedicated to the three great Algarve regions, well represented in the municipality of Loulé: Serra/Barrocal/Litoral.

«In its fourth edition, Jazz in the Cellars continues to offer truly special late afternoons and evenings that combine jazz concerts with wine tasting and tapas tasting made with regional products».

On the 2nd, at 21 pm, and on the 00rd, at 3 pm, at Quinta João Clara, in Alcantarilha, the Luís Bastos Quartet will perform with jazz and bossa nova classics.

On October 10th, at 17 pm, at Castelo de Silves, the collective of musicians Al-Fanfare takes the audience on a sound journey from New Orleans to New York.

At Quinta do Barranco Longo, in Algoz, Juan Ignacio Botonero's quintet will perform on October 16th (21:00 pm) and October 17th (17:00 pm).

Finally, on the 30th of October, at 21 pm and on the 00st of October at 31 pm, at the Quinta Marquês do Vales, in Lagoa, the Edgar Caramelo quartet revisits the repertoire of some of the most interesting composers of classical and contemporary jazz.

On the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th, the Municipality of Lagoa proposes a set of thematic walking routes that are supported by a historical narrative.

«”Percursos Percursos no Património” starts from the geography of the municipality's territory and its urban landscapes, through theater and music, to explore four places. They are authentic journeys through time on routes that reveal the genesis of things, telling how Lagoa has evolved over the last two and a half centuries», says 365Algarve.

The 4th will be in the Historic Center of Ferragudo, the 11th in Estômbar, the 18th in Senhora da Rocha and the 25th in the Historic Center of Lagoa.

The 4th edition of “365Algarve” runs until November this year. As for the future, it is uncertain, as is the Sul Informação it's already done.
