Traffic will be re-established on the four lanes of the Guadiana International Bridge by the end of August, due to the large volume of traffic at this time of year on this crossing between Portugal and Spain, which is being maintenance work target.
Until the end of the month, it will be possible to circulate in all lanes of the bridge, two in each direction, but the «speed limitation of 50 km/h and the prohibition of overtaking» will be maintained, as well as «the width of 2.90 meters allowed for each of the four lanes», according to Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP).
So far, you could only drive one way in each direction., due to ongoing works, which should last until January.
"After this specific situation of releasing the four lanes in August, the dumping of traffic to the North side will be re-established, for the continuation of the remaining works", added IP.
