The Algarve athletes who will compete in the finals of the Esperanças National Surf Championships, which will take place in September and October, in different parts of the country, are already known.
The young surfers from the Algarve secured a total of 22 places, distributed in the U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 male and U-16 and U-18 female categories.
The most represented club will be CNPTM – Clube Naval de Portimão (12 places collected), followed by ASC – Albufeira Surf Clube (5), PTMSC – Portimão Surf Clube (3), CSF – Clube de Surf de Faro (1) and ICMP – Yacht Club Marina de Portimão (1).
In under-12, the Algarve players Kai-L (PTMSC, 3rd at national level), José Pedro (CSF, 9th), Noah Lenderick (PTMSC, 20th) and Martim Guerreiro (ICMP, 25th) were selected.
In the under-14, Martim Brandão (ASC, 3rd at national level), Alexandre Ferreira (CNPTM, 7th), Salvador Catarino (CNPTM, 23rd) and Constância Simões (CNPTM, 28th) went to the very final.
In the under-16 category, those selected were Constância Simões (CNPTM, 3rd at national level), Inês Filipe (CNPTM, 9th) and Bianca Nicoleta (ASC, 16th).
In women's under-18s, the Algarve region will also be represented by Constância Simões (CNPTM, 2nd at national level) and by Bianca Nicoleta (ASC, 15th), but also by Cassie Gonçalves (ASC, 8th).
The men's under-16 category will feature the Algarve's Henrique Gomes (CNPTM, 3rd), Martim Brandão (ASC, 9th), Nuno Baltazar (CNPTM, 18th) and Louis Escudeiro (PTMSC, 25th).
Finally, in men's under-18s, all the qualified are from Clube Naval de Portimão, more precisely Bruno Marçal (3rd), Henrique Gomes (9th), Nuno Baltazar (21st) and Valentino Miguel (23rd).

U16 Fem and U18 Fem – Santa Cruz, September 5th and 6th
Sub 12 – Peniche, date to be defined (September)
Sub 16 – S. Pedro do Estoril, 26 and 27 September
Sub 14 – Porto, 3rd and 4th of October
Sub 18 – Ericeira, 10 and 11 October
