AMAL – Algarve Intermunicipal Community launched a fire prevention awareness campaign on radio stations in the region.
With this initiative, the entity that brings together the 16 Councils of the Algarve is to raise awareness «of risky behaviors that should be avoided».
«In addition to the campaign, AMAL also has the Brigada de Sapadores on the ground. There are three teams that work for the defense of forests and the rural environment, having already been called upon to support the fight against fires in the Region. AMAL's Sapadores Brigade has been in operation since 2019 and is financed by the Permanent Forest Fund», concluded the Algarve Intermunicipal Community.
