LAMA Teatro's black box activities will restart in Faro

New space had to close due to pandemic

The Black Box activities of LAMA Teatro, a space dedicated to theater and performing arts training and programming, in Faro, will start again on the 31st of August, after having been canceled due to Covid-19.

The first activity will take place in the final stretch of the summer holidays, specifically from August 31st to September 4th. This is the dance and theater workshop 'Julieta de Brito and Romeu Rodrigues combine a meeting through WhatsApp', which is aimed at children and young people between 10 and 15 years old.

Coordinated by João de Brito and Filipa Rodrigues, this workshop aims to provide theatrical tools and explore choreographic material for the creation of one or more “Romeos” and one or more “Juliets”.

In the same week, theater classes for children and teenagers begin again and classes for adults begin.

Sara Afonso is responsible for the Tuesday classes, aimed at children from 6 to 10 years old, which start again on September 1st and continue until December 15th.

On Wednesdays, from September 2nd to December 16th, LAMA Black Box opens the door to children and young people from 11 to 16 years old, who will have Tânia Silva as a trainer.

On the 3rd of September, classes will start by Alexandra Diogo, for adults with or without training in theater, aged between 17 and 97 years. Classes for this age group take place on Thursdays and end on November 26th.
