Here is a video summary of the visit that the President of the Republic made this Sunday to Caldas de Monchique, accompanied by the president of the local Chamber.
Selfies, water from Monchique, to drink and buy, conversations with tourists of various nationalities or with the children he met, and even some medronho mosquitoes drunk with a group of Brazilians and Portuguese made up this visit by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The Head of State's objective, as he has mentioned several times, is to draw attention to the potential of the entire Algarve, in this year when the main activity in the region – tourism – is being strongly affected by the effects of the pandemic.
Since June, this was the President of the Republic's eighth visit to the Algarve, choosing one municipality at a time. This Monday, after spending the morning in Monchique, Marcelo is going to Faro.
