The band from the film “Variações” will perform at the Palácio da Galeria Park, in Tavira, on Friday, the 24th, at 22 pm, in another concert of the “Verão em Tavira” program.
Sergio Praia, the actor who plays the role of António Variações in the film, will take the stage, as well as musicians Duarte Cabaça, David Silva, Vasco Duarte and the music producer responsible for the film's soundtrack, Armando Teixeira.
«This project marks the debut of Sérgio Praia as a singer and the return of the musician, composer and producer Armando Teixeira who, through the tapes of António Variações, embodied the songs he had recorded in the garage, with amateur musicians, in the late 70s », according to Câmara de Tavira, which organizes the show.
“Take the pill”, the “Web”, “I lost memory”, the “Canção do engage” or “I want to be noticed” (an unprecedented found in the collection of António Variações) are some of the themes that make up the soundtrack of the film and that will be presented, live, "in a unique show full of surprises and emotions".
Tickets for the show cost 5 euros, an amount that “returns in favor of the acquisition of personal protection equipment for the social solidarity institutions in the municipality”.
Tickets for the concerts can be purchased, daily, at Praça da República, between 20:00 and 23:00. On the day of the shows, they can be purchased in the square in front of Palácio da Galeria, between 20 pm and 00 pm.
The use of a mask is mandatory and the public will have to comply with the defined safety rules.
