A 43-year-old English parachutist was seriously injured earlier this afternoon, after being trapped in medium voltage cables near the Municipal Aerodrome of Portimão.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação that the alert was given at 13:16 pm and that the man has already been rescued and transported to the hospital.
The rescue operations involved 19 firefighters from Portimão, INEM, GNR and EDP, supported by 8 vehicles.
