Cannabis plants worth 20 euros seized in Aljezur

Drug plantation was found in a vacant lot

43 cannabis plants, with an estimated market value of 20 euros, were found and seized in Aljezur last Friday by the local detachment of the GNR's Coastal Control Unit (UCC).

The military detected the plantation in a vacant lot, during an action on the coastline of the municipality of Aljezur. The size of the 43 plants found varied between 70 centimeters and 1,9 meters.

“Investigation steps were carried out on suspicion of drug trafficking, which are still ongoing,” according to the UCC.

The facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Portimão.
