Câmara de Loulé is looking for houses to "solve the housing problem"

By the year 2030, the Municipality of Loulé wants to directly support 1400 households in accessing housing

Loulé City Council is looking for properties to buy or rent, with the aim of solving “the housing problem that affects the community so much”. 

At the same time, the draft Municipal Regulation on the Right to Housing was approved in a public session on July 8, an «instrument that will regulate the allocation of housing to households that need them».

In order to promote the right to housing for all, the Municipality will, through the new generation of housing policies, use its property assets, but also acquire more properties and more land for the construction of new housing units in various places in the municipality. .

In this sense, the Municipality is promoting a consultation of the real estate market, both for the acquisition and rental of properties intended for public housing.

With this initiative, which runs until the 31st of July, the idea of ​​municipal officials is to acquire and lease properties of types T0 to T3, located in the municipality, with immediate living conditions.

In addition, in the context of making its assets available for housing purposes, the City Council plans to open a tender in August for the construction of the first 17 houses, with other projects to be launched this year.
