São Brás Municipal Assembly approves last year's Accounts Report

The Municipal Assembly of São Brás de Alportel, meeting on 29 June, approved by majority vote the Accountability Report of the Chamber, for last year.

Among the various indicators of a balanced economic and financial situation in the Municipality, «a budget execution rate for revenue of 93,57% stands out, above the reference value of 85%, provided for in the Local Finance Law».

In the opinion of the autarchy, there was «a rigorous exercise in the management of the municipal budget that allowed the carrying out of regular municipal activity along with several investments, from which the development of projects in the area of ​​education and accessibility/mobility, as well as in requalification of heritage and maintenance of the municipality's network of facilities, and for the benefit of the quality of life of all citizens».

In terms of payments to suppliers, «the Municipality registered an average payment period of around seven days, a figure that places the Municipality in the best levels of the ranking the municipal sector until the end of 2019. It should also be noted that on 31 December there were no overdue debts».

The 2019 Accountability Report was supervised by the external auditor DQF & Associador, the Society of Statutory Auditors, which issued the legal certification «without reservations and without emphasis».

For Vítor Guerreiro, Mayor of São Brás, this amount that is transferred to the municipal budget “allows a greater capacity for intervention in a year that, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, is particularly demanding in terms of social responses. and to support the local economy'.
