The Algarve tennis player Inês Murta will discuss this Sunday, July 19, from 14:30 pm, the final of the Absolute National Championship/Guilherme Pinto Basto Cup. Up front, the player will have Francisca Jorge.

Both tennis players signed this Saturday their passage to the singles final, where they will face each other at the Monte Aventino Sports Complex, in Porto.

Born in Vila Real de Santo António, Inês Murta (645th in the WTA world ranking) has as her opponent the three-time champion in title: Francisca Jorge (579th ranked).

The 23-year-old Algarvian beat Maria Inês Fonte to reach the decisive game (6-2 and 6-0).

This will be his third career final in the Absolute National Championship (he was a finalist in 2014 and 2015 at the CIF — Club Internacional de Foot-Ball, in Lisbon, where he now trains).

“I feel good and feel good. I have a lot of rhythm, playing with a good mentality and a good attitude. I feel that things come more naturally as I have played many matches and I am very happy», said the tennis player who is being accompanied by João Antunes, from the CIF working group.

Despite being qualified for the decision of singles in the Absolute National Championship for the third time, Inês Murta is, above all, satisfied with the evolution she has seen.

“I'm especially proud of the mental part, the way I'm behaving on the field and taking over the game. I feel I'm dealing well with nerves and favoritism,” he said.

As baggage for the decisive match, Inês Murta will take the advantage in the face-to-face registered with Francisca Jorge in recent weeks: Guimarães even started better, winning to win the inaugural stage of the FPT Senior Circuit in Loulé, but the Algarve reacted and imposed up in the finals of Lisbon and Figueira da Foz.

The female singles final of the Absolute National Championship/Guilherme Pinto Basto Cup will be broadcast from 14:30 pm, live on Sport TV. Afterwards, the men's title attribution match will be played.

But first, the two players will still be face to face in the fight for a place in the pairs decision: Jorge will play alongside his sister, Matilde Jorge (they are the current champions), while Murta joins efforts with Ana Filipa Santos, with whom he defends the status of first head of the series.
