Vitória em Famalicão was written with Tê

Ricardo Vaz Tê scored the only goal of the match

Portimonense is still alive in the fight for maintenance with the 0-1 victory achieved this Tuesday, June 30, against Famalicão, in a game of the 29th round of the I League of Football.

Until the end, Portimonense knows that all matches will be authentic finals to get to stay in the I League. With that premise in mind, the Algarve, without Lucas Fernandes in the 11th by punishment, came in with a desire to score early.

On minute 6, Tabata received a ball on the left, passed two players and, facing the goal at the edge of the area, shot with danger.

Four minutes later, a similar move: the Brazilian winger shot in an arc, Vaná stretched and defended to the crossbar.

Portimonense showed that the last good results were not the result of chance. The Algarvians had the upper hand in the game, they pressed hard and the opportunities multiplied.

Until, in the 17th minute, the so desired goal arrived. Famalicão left the defense badly, Tabata recovered the ball near the area, passed it to Ricardo Vaz Tê and the Portuguese striker fired the count, debuting to score for Portimonense.

On the other side, the best opportunity was in the 33rd minute. Pedro Gonçalves started and ended a move, which was not a goal because Gonda, already in the penalty area, went right at the feet of the opposing player, preventing the draw.

Before the break, Portimonense had a blatant chance to make the second. Tabata – one of the best on the Alvinegros side – crossed to the far post, where Aylton Boa Morte, free from marking and with the goal open, shot wide. At the bank, Paulo Sérgio did not want to believe in this failure…

In the second part, Famalicão appeared better. Portimonense went down the lines a little and the home team took the opportunity to attack more.

In the 59th minute, Gonda avoided the tie with a great save, after a shot by Diogo Gonçalves. The ball still hit the bar, before going out into the corner.

At 69′, Aylton once again had a great chance to score, but, as in the first half, he shot wide, when he was in a good position inside the area.

Until the end, the Algarve knew how to hold the advantage. With this victory, Portimonense remains in the relegation zone (17th place), but adds 27 points, two less than Tondela, who will still enter the field this journey.
