Requalification of the accesses between Penha and Vale da Amoreira is «practically completed»

The requalification work on the Manuel Vicente path and construction of the roundabout between this access, Rua Dr. José Filipe Álvares and Praceta Cruz Azevedo is «practically completed», announced the City Council this Monday. Faro.

This intervention, which has been taking place since the end of last year, will allow, according to the municipality, “a significant improvement in circulation on a heavily used route with a large influx of vehicles, especially during peak traffic hours, connecting the areas of Vale da Amoreira and Penha».

The Manuel Vicente path now works in a single direction, towards Vale da Amoreira/Penha, and «is now equipped with sidewalks, public lighting and a new pavement, ensuring greater safety for drivers and pedestrians who circulate in that neuralgic area of ​​the city» highlights the Chamber of Faro.

The roundabout built at the top of the Manuel Vicente Way, at the intersection with Rua Dr. José Filipe Álvares and Praceta Cruz Azevedo, «starts to organize the flow of traffic and also guarantees greater safety in circulation and access to neighboring residential neighborhoods» .

The investment of the Municipality of Faro with this contract it was around 216 thousand euros.
