There is a new source of Covid-19 contagion, in the municipality of Lagos, due to an illegal party that brought together, «a few days ago, a large number of people».
In a press release, the Câmara de Lagos says that both the local authority, the security forces and the health authorities "are concerned" with this "focus of active contagion".
"The origin of this focus, which came to question the good performance registered so far in terms of the numbers of the pandemic, is being attributed to the organization of an illegal festive event, which took place a few days ago, which brought together a large number of people" , he adds.
The Câmara de Lagos considers that this situation “could have been avoided if it weren't for the non-compliance with the preventive measures that have constantly been publicized”.
Although not yet included in the daily report of the Directorate-General for Health, the municipality explains that "there are already some confirmed positive cases, with the competent authorities carrying out tests, determining isolation measures and identifying possible chains of contagion, so that the focus is as quickly circumscribed and controlled as possible'.
To what Sul Informação he learned, the municipality of Lagos now has 8 confirmed cases of Covid-19, in numbers accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic. 4 of them have been registered since Sunday.

The remaining cases must then be related to people who attended this illegal party.
