Organization of children and young people by groups, entry and exit circuits and Contingency Plans. The General Directorate of Health (DGS) published this Sunday, June 14, an orientation with the prevention and control measures to be adopted in the Leisure Activity Centers (CATL) which may start to reopen tomorrow, the 15th.

The document states that all establishments that promote leisure activities must be properly prepared to approach suspected cases of Covid-9, as well as to prevent and minimize the transmission of this disease, through the activation and updating of their Contingency Plans , which should include, for example, the definition of an isolation area.

To maintain distance, the guidance provides, among other measures, that children and young people are organized into groups and that each group should be assigned, as far as possible, a zone or room in the CATL.

In order to avoid the crossing of people, delayed entry and exit times must be defined and entry and exit circuits of the rooms and activity spaces must be defined for each group.

When accessing the establishment, care must be taken to sanitize hands at the entrance and exit, with an alcoholic-based antiseptic solution. In addition to ensuring distancing measures within the room, it is necessary to ensure, whenever possible, that the objects of playful-pedagogical activities are regularly cleaned.

According to the guidance, all professionals and children over 10 years old must wear a mask inside the establishment.

The publication also establishes the environmental hygiene measures to be adopted, as well as the precautions to be taken in the cafeteria and in transport. The collective transport of children and young people implies compliance with the interval and the safety distance between passengers (for example: one per seat) and the reduction of the maximum capacity in accordance with current legislation, among other measures.

ATL that are not attached to educational establishments can reopen tomorrow, June 15th. The remaining ones will return to work from the 26th.
