Algarve Wine Commission helps producers due to pandemic

The Algarve Wine Commission is helping producers, promoting their wines via the Internet, with the aim of helping them to respond to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Thus, CVA is publishing a series of reports, where each producer tells a little about their history and the particularities of their Quintas and their wines. This is an item that happens every Thursday, on Facebook and Instagram social networks.

The Wine Commission's website “was also reinforced with information about each of the producers and ways to purchase their wines without leaving home, just by visiting the digital platforms of each one”.

The Algarve Wines app is being improved and will be relaunched soon with a new image, also available on IOS, in another example of help.

A brand activation is still ongoing in partnership with Nutrifresco, one of the most recognized
Algarve fish distributors, offering bottles of Algarve wines when purchasing Fish Baskets
and Seafood from its recent brand Peixe à Porta (www.peixeaporta.pt).

The campaign takes place at national level and is ongoing in June and July (limited to the existing stock), with the purchase of the Cabaz das Rias.

These initiatives also arise as a result of the need to cancel the Open Day of Thursdays, initially scheduled for March 23 and later postponed to May 4th. This day's main objective was to make known the producers and wines of the Algarve to the purchase decision-makers of regional restaurants and hotels.

«Using digital media as our allies, we started to prepare alternative ways to get the message to these audiences, but also to final consumers, key players in consumption and increase in
reputation of our wines», he concludes.
