The António Aleixo Foundation crèche, in Quarteira, was closed this Friday, June 12, after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.
The situation was confirmed to our newspaper by a source from the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve.
The case of this employee forced the closure of the space. Another 30 people working at the day care center were tested this Thursday, June 11, and "all came back negative," according to the same source.
Today, the 12th, more employees will be tested, all linked to the António Aleixo Foundation.
This weekend, the situation "will be analyzed", taking into account a possible reopening of the space.
This is the second positive case in day care centers in the Algarve, after last Monday, the Santa Barbara de Nexe's kindergarten has also been closed.
