União das Misericórdias releases videos of good practices for day care centers filmed in Albufeira

Simulations were carried out at Misericórdia de Albufeira

The União das Misericórdias Portuguesas (UMP) released a series of seven video tutorials, with simulations carried out in the Albufeira's Mercy, which exemplify measures to be followed in contact with suppliers, reception and delivery of children, food, diaper change, isolation room, procedures for employees and nap time.

The tutorials are intended to support the Misericórdias in the process of reopening the crèches, starting tomorrow, May 18th.

But the UMP also made available a guide with guidelines and promoted two online training actions, on May 14th, with the participation of more than 500 professionals from childcare equipment.

Following the survey carried out in recent days, the distribution of personal protective equipment to support a safer return will also be ensured.

At the start of the first training session, the president of the UMP, Manuel de Lemos, stressed the purpose of supporting the Misericórdias in the "gradual and progressive opening of day care centers" to guarantee a "return with tranquility and security and gradually make us regain confidence" .

After guaranteeing the “urgent” testing of all employees, he defended that the Misericórdias should resume their activity throughout the country, in a universe that covers around 15 thousand children and 295 day care centers. “The Misericórdias are institutions that celebrate life, and as such, with this caution, and with this rigor, we will always see the glass half full”.
