Tavira is already preparing “the gradual resumption of activity”, after about two weeks without registering new cases of Covid-19 and 10 of the 30 people who have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic have recovered.
The mayor of Tavira made a new assessment of the situation yesterday, May 1st, in which she revealed that, regarding the epidemiological situation, Tavira "keeps 30 infected by the new coronavirus and registers 10 recovered".
"From a perspective of continuity of disease control in our county, since there have been no new cases since the last communication, which took place on the 17th, the municipality reinforces preventive measures in order to prepare the gradual resumption of activity", he added Ana Paula Martins.
This also involves strengthening the capacity to fight the pandemic of the county's institutions, which is why the Council distributed protective equipment to the county's nine nursing homes, namely «200 aprons, 500 surgical masks, 77 FFP2 masks, two boxes of gloves, 5 liters of alcohol gel and 200 gowns».
