This Tuesday, the Portimão Chamber delivered around 80 prevention kits against the new coronavirus to representatives of the two associations of taxi drivers operating in the municipality.
The 'kits' consist of 12 masks, 12 gloves, two visors, a bottle of hand sanitizer and a mandatory mask sticker and will be distributed by members of Rádio Táxi Arade and Coope Portimonense – Cooperativa de Táxis de Portimao.
According to the Portimão Chamber, "the objective is to help professionals in the sector to prevent the current pandemic, with tourist taxis also being covered by this action."
The Portimão Chamber reminds, in a note sent to the newsrooms, that «the deadline for the distribution of masks to citizens via CTT ends today, as well as the 'kits' intended to merchants and that were delivered store to store by multiple teams constituted by Firefighters, Scouts, Parish Councils, Civil Protection and Social Action and volunteers».
People who did not receive the masks at the mailbox or at their commercial establishments should contact the Protection Line 24, through the number 808 282 112, indicating the EMRP customer number, so that the respective delivery can be arranged.
