Licensing of works in Faro become all digital with ePaper

Municipality of Faro implemented ePaper, a computer solution that allows the digital reception and processing of urban management processes

The Municipality of Faro will implement, as of this Monday, June 1st, the process of dematerialization and reception in digital format of administrative processes related to urban operations. The aim is to “simplify citizens' lives and make services more efficient, while ensuring greater environmental sustainability,” explains the City Council.

For this, within the scope of the administrative modernization process and in response to the requirements imposed by the Legal Regime of Urbanization and Building, the Municipality implemented, in the municipality's services, the ePaper, a computer solution that allows the digital reception and processing of the processes of urban management.

In this sense, all procedures relating to licensing processes for urban operations, including applications or communications for allotment operations, urbanization works, construction, subdivision, urbanization, building, demolition, or authorizations for use, are now carried out digitally.

With this solution, the Municipality advances in the municipal modernization process and allows all the tasks necessary for the entry, handling and analysis of processes to be carried out with greater security, rigor and transparency, with the added advantage of giving applicants the possibility to monitor, via the internet, the status of the cases they submitted.

At the same time, the municipality takes an important step towards reducing the consumption of paper and other consumables, contributing to the minimization of waste and greater environmental sustainability.

The presentation of processes in digital format is therefore mandatory, with all supporting documents for the preparation of processes available on the website of the Municipality of Faro.

The files – with the various files and the respective form, available on the Municipality's website, duly filled in and with a qualified digital signature – can thus be delivered, from Monday, at the “Viver” Balcão Único Faro”, at Loja do Cidadão, in the Municipal Market of Faro, following all the safety rules in force in the spaces of the building.

In this first phase of ePaper implementation, the Municipality recommends the delivery of files in person at the counter, allowing its employees to verify all the elements. «The practice will tend to be sending the process by email to [email protected]'.

However, for any queries or questions regarding this topic, the Municipality services can be contacted by telephone number 289 870 807 or by e-mail address [email protected].
