The Government will postpone the transfer of competences in Education, Health and Social Support to the municipalities, a process planned until 2021 and which will now extend until 2022.
At the beginning of the year, the Minister of Modernization of the State and Public Administration, Alexandra Leitão, wanted to resolve the difficulties in decentralization “as soon as possible”, after several criticisms from mayors, so that the transfer of competences could take place in January 2021.
