Faro and RTA disclose a support line for micro-enterprises in tourism

Sessions of this type will take place in other Algarve municipalities

The Chamber of Faro and the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) will promote, on the 5th of May, at 10:30 am, a videoconference where they will publicize the Support Line for Microenterprises – Covid-19, dedicated to companies linked to the tourism sector.

This is a line provided by Turismo de Portugal.

The "session comes at a time when the exceptional situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic requires the application of extraordinary measures to support companies and workers in the private sector", says the Chamber of Faro.

To mitigate the economic impact of the epidemic and reduce the treasury effort of companies in the coming months, Turismo de Portugal provides a line of financial support to ensure the increased working capital needs of micro-enterprises in tourism with activity in the national territory, so to minimize the impact of the temporary reduction in demand levels on its activity.

The measures to be presented are intended for micro-enterprises and individual entrepreneurs (up to 9 workers) covered by the Code of Classification of Economic Activities in Tourism: accommodation, camping and caravan parks, restaurants, beverage establishments, car rental , travel agencies, tour operators, other reservation services, organization of fairs, conferences and other similar events, amusement and theme park activities, recreational port activities (marinas), organization of animation activities and other fun activities and recreational.

Moreover, sessions of this type will take place in other Algarve municipalities.
