The Municipal Library of Faro António Ramos Rosa resumes, as of next Monday, 11th of May, the loan of books.
To access this service, interested parties should consult the Library's online catalog at the address library.cm-faro.pt, choose your literary preferences and contact the Library by e-mail [email protected] or telephone 289 870 000, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 17:00 pm and indicate the books you wish to request.
«For this purpose, the full name and reader number of the Library must be sent. Finally, a date and time will be scheduled for the collection of books at the Municipal Library», says the Chamber of Faro.
During the period of social confinement, the Municipal Library tried to adapt to the country's new reality caused by Covid-19 and kept the services operating at a distance, through the consultation of digital resources and the sharing and production of online content on its page Facebook and email, seeking to maintain direct contact with the community and trying to respond to the information and cultural needs of citizens.
In this first phase, the reopening only contemplates the possibility of access to non-presential reading and reference services and never access to permanent internal spaces.
The guidelines of the General Directorate of Health (DGS), physical distance, respiratory label and the use of adequate personal protective equipment, such as a visor, mask, gloves and disinfectant, must be guaranteed.
Due to the closing of the Library to the public, there will be no penalties for late returns. For more information, click here
