Portugal moves forward with plan to sell masks to 515 million Europeans

In difficult times, Portuguese textiles have already shown that they know how to be resilient, proactive and inventive. Proof of this are the more than 200 companies that have made themselves available to manufacture social masks in less than a week since the announcement of this possibility, made last Monday by the Government.

Moretextile, which brings together in Vale do Ave three of the largest Portuguese home textile companies (António de Almeida & Filhos, JMA Felpos, SA and Coelima Indústrias Têxteis), is one of these more than 200. In the three factories it has in Guimarães and Santo Tirso, 17 prototypes of social masks are being developed, which will then be up to CITEVE to approve.
