Portimão Municipality to distribute 250 masks to the municipality's population

Chamber will disclose as soon as possible how citizens will be able to access the ordered masks

The Municipality of Portimão will acquire 250 masks to be distributed to the population, as a preventive measure against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The decision was announced by Mayor Isilda Gomes, during the meeting held today at the Permanent Municipal Subcommittee Covid-19/Civil Protection of Portimão.

The municipality announces that "it will be disclosed in due course how citizens will have access to the masks, which do not dispense with all other confinement measures in force, which must be fully respected."

To what Sul Informação he learned from a source in the Municipality, each person from Portimo will be entitled to "about four masks", which should arrive and begin to be distributed "during the next week". The masks will be accompanied by an instruction manual so that citizens know how to use them.

The Chamber adds that "for five consecutive days there have been no new cases of Covid-19 in the municipality of Portimão", which, incidentally, was even the Algarve municipality that registered the first case in the Algarve region.
