CCV do Algarve creates activities for “Small Scientists at Home”

Challenges are made through videos on Youtube

The Live Science Center of the Algarve (Faro) is taking activities to the homes of small scientists. The center has been putting on its Youtube page daily challenges, which the youngest can complete without leaving home, with everyday materials.

The “Little Scientists at Home” section challenges children to have fun as a family and share the results of their work through photographs or video.

Today's challenge is the “Persistence of Vision” experience, an activity with which, through “a simple construction”, participants can “simulate the vision of ancient space probes that went to Mars”.

In this case, the video can be seen following this link. The exploration of the theme is explained here.

Before, the CCV do Algarve had already launched other activities, where it taught how to make the “Jogo do Moinho” and how to build a herbarium or a rain gauge, among many other “engineering” (see full list below).

And, as the idea is that no one has to leave the house to have fun, the center leaves an appeal: “do not leave the house to acquire any of these materials. If you don't have them all, wait for our next challenge!».
