The Algarve association distributes food to those who need it most

AAPACDM – Algarve Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Diminished Children is distributing food baskets to needy families.

In addition, the Algarve association introduced get to work and immediately began a process of maintaining the family routines of its users, especially for young people confined to their homes.

«This process has been implemented through social networks, contemplating a daily plan of online activities designed to get as close as possible to the “normal” daily life of our young people», explains AAPACDM.

«We promote videos, challenges, proposals ranging from physical activity, occupational therapy, social education, plastic expression, recycling, cooking, among many other topics», he exemplifies.

 

 

It is that, «even with all the restrictions of social contact, it is important to promote interaction with other people through phone calls or applications online, with the association having the psychological support service available to its
customers and families'.

Carlos Figueira, president of the AAPACDM General Assembly, says that, «despite the difficulties we all face, in this unique, difficult and complex moment, we continue with courage, joy and total commitment to this public cause that we have embraced for over 50 years in favor of those who need it most. And there are many who need us».

"In fact, our team, through the association's multiple responses, responds to a universe of direct recipients of more than 200 direct beneficiaries, a number that increases exponentially if we join their respective families, as well as all our partners, with our universe of support a range of more than 1.500 stakeholders», concludes.
