PSD says that "it is imperative" to open the Covid-19 Harvesting Center in Portimão Arena

Deputies Cristóvão Norte, Rui Cristina and Ofélia Ramos do not understand that the center is not yet functioning

The PSD deputies elected by the Algarve consider that it is "imperative" to put into operation "immediately" the Covid-19 harvest center, which was installed next to Portimão Arena, but which still does not have authorization from the Regional Health Administration (ARS) Algarve to start operating.

Like Sul Informação realized, despite the structure being able to open since Wednesday, it is still awaiting authorization from the ARS Algarve.

The deputies of the PSD Cristóvão Norte, Rui Cristina and Ofélia Ramos say that this situation "has caused incomprehension among citizens and mayors".

For the Social Democrats, “this center could ensure, by appointment, the realization of hundreds of tests per day, which meets the requirements of the World Health Organization, “Test, test, test”, as well as the guidelines in force in our country”.

The deputies say that “it is imperative to make the center work. Nobody understands that, given the need to serve the western Algarve, the opportunity to increase the number of tests is being wasted. It's all set up, it's important to make sure it works. This is not the time for disagreements between public institutions that can only cause anguish and distrust in citizens».

The deputies asked the Ministry of Health, through the ARS Algarve, "to give the competent authorization for the center to start operating immediately".
